Whether you’re in need of a complex homecare package, live-in homecare package or something entirely bespoke, Direct Homecare takes a patient-centric approach to creating a custom homecare plan that considers individual personal and clinical needs. We provide a managed homecare service, putting you or your loved one at the centre of every decision. Honesty and integrity are at the heart of our business. For clients with a personal health budget, we offer a full managed account homecare service, dealing with the administration of the budget and all aspects of care, from carer payroll to account audits.

At Direct Homecare, we prioritise delivering the highest standard of home care, offering patients comfort and dignity in their own home. Homecare allows you or your loved one to be treated in an environment that is much less formal than a hospital ward. Our flexible and reliable service is tailored to meet your unique requirements, whether you need care at short notice, or on a long term, continuous basis.

Every one of our homecare nurses, healthcare assistants and homecare workers undertake ongoing training to ensure their knowledge and skills are up to date. An alternative to inpatient care, homecare nursing allows a quick response to changes in the patient’s condition. We provide a level of care to suit exactly what you need, and are committed to finding the right person to match your requirements.

What is homecare?

Homecare is the name given to care delivered in the home environment, and can be on a live-in or visiting basis. This is typically split into domiciliary homecare and clinical or nursing homecare. Domiciliary care is undertaken by a carer, and usually involves help around the house, companionship services and personal care. Nursing homecare typically involves care that requires a medical professional, such a post-operative homecare, homecare for complex clinical conditions or neurological homecare - and is delivered by a nurse or doctor.

How can homecare help me?

For many people, arranging care at home can offer a number of benefits. Homecare can allow patients and their families to remain in their own homes, which promotes independence and also allows people to stay in a familiar environment without the upheaval of moving into a residential care setting for example. Homecare can also give peace of mind to families, reducing fall or injury risks and minimising re-hospitalisations. If you’d like to know more about how homecare may be a good option for you or a loved one, contact a member of our team today.

Marget's Story

"Direct Homecare have offered us something we didn't think was going to be possible - caring for my Mum in the comfort of her own home. The support we've been offered has been second to none and we've always felt strongly that we'd like to have input in Mum's care plan, something that Direct Homecare allows us to do.

We've been really pleased with the level of service, and having a carer at home has taken a huge weight off our minds."

- Marget's Daughter
